How to Hire Licensed Leasing Agents

I am a long time reader of these boards but finally decided to get involved with my input. I am a newly licensed broker in CA. I have a couple of questions for people experienced with hiring leasing agents in CA.

1.) If I hire a licensed leasing agent to lease a home (one time transaction) am I required to report our relationship to BRE?

2.) Does this relationship have to be exclusive? Or can they still remain with their employed broker?

Acting as a leasing agent for owners is a big part of my business. I have performed with an assistant in the past but would like to scale a little more now with my brokers license. Any advice would be much appreciated and I hope I can return the favor!
