Referral Fees or Full Time Broker

I recently passed the North Carolina real estate exam. I am currently working as a construction project manager. I would like to slowly enter the real estate industry and have been contemplating either becoming a full-time broker or possibly just hanging my license with firm and just obtaining referral commissions. I was curious if anyone has any experience with going the referral route and what the pros and cons were. Marco G.

You're either in full time or you're out. Referral fees are great passive income.
