State or Local MLS? Trying to decide which one to pursue
Hey all--
I'm trying to figure out whether or not a state-wide or local MLS is the better choice for me. Here in NY, it looks like the state-wide MLS is significantly cheaper than the local Long Island or Manhattan MLS products and I'm trying to understand why. The state-wide MLS does NOT come with IDX, but has syndication across all the key websites (including 20 international sites) and can offer IDX at $20/month. The local MLS products are SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive and are local in nature.
Can anyone explain why the price discrepancy exists and if the local ones are that much better relative to the state-wide offering?
