Hello,
I'm a new agent focusing on rental properties in (Hipster-town) Brooklyn. I've joined a company and have access to their exclusive and non-exclusive listings-- but I'm unclear still if those are the ONLY properties I can show potential clients?
For example I have a friend wanting an apartment in an area we don't really focus on.
Do listing broker's share Owner-Paid fees with other brokerages?? The trend right now seems to be NO FEE (it's feb 2018). What about when the renter pays fee? Will a portion go to the listing agent and a portion to me if I bring the tenant? How do we work this out!?
Thanks,
Heather

@Heather Kimball it sounds like you need to have a conversation with your broker to clarify how things work in the office. You should be able to rent anything on the MLS as long as you split it with the office, but double check
