I’m looking to invest into town homes or multifamilies in Tampa, fl for the college community any remcomendations on what areas attract the student crowd
The two big schools in Tampa are USF and UT. USF is in Temple Terrace, and the campus is in between Fowler and Fletcher, anywhere off of those streets wouldn’t be a bad start. UT is on Kennedy Blvd, east of the campus is downtown, south of campus is Hyde Park(very expensive) and then west and north of the campus is abort Hyde Park which is having sort of a gentrification and that’s another option.
USF is a big commuter school and UT changed their housing rules forcing more students off campus. As long as you’re alright with lots of turnover, and co-signers, there’s definitely opportunity.
The other campuses would be Eckerd Collage in St. Pete as well as Stetson U. Those aren’t very big schools are closer to the beaches, but still may have opportunity.
@Tom Parris thank you very much this was very helpful and informative !
You’re welcome, let me know if I can be of any assistance. I went to UT myself and my office is next door.
