Mortgage qualification for Condo

Hello Everyone 

I need help with a mortgage situation. i have an investment condo in escrow. The buyer was trying to go through FHA loan and was not able to get qualified because of HOA not meeting FHA requirements with regards to reserve req and insurance.

Does anyone have experience getting conventinal mortgages underwritten for condo properties.  Subject property is in Houston Tx.
