Purchasing using an owner occupied loan with my brother

I am an investor with 3 properties.  Currently live in one of them with my wife.  Debating using my brother to purchase a 4 plex and I am wondering if it is allowed.  What I want to do is purchase a home with both of our names on the note doing a 3.5%-5% down payment.  He would be the only one living there for the required year period.  Is that allowed?  Is this doable?
