What Drives Mortgage Rates!

Mortgage rates are driven by bond yields, inflation, economic data, and investor sentiment, not just the Fed. Watch employment numbers, CPI, and 10-Year Treasury for clues!  Lower inflation numbers typically will result in lower treasury yields which will bring down rates.  Higher unemployment will also result in lower rates and yield.  The opposite is true!
