Should I have an appraisal done when the house isn’t finished?

Hello, so I'm doing a live in BRRRR right now. I'm a little bit behind and might've jumped the gun on ordering an appraisal before I'm able to finish the house 100%. Things like carpets won't be installed on time, trim work unfinished, and some painting left to do. How strict are these things for a refinance of the house? I have receipts showing that the carpet is to be installed at a later date and he/she will be able to see all the materials to finish the project on site. Will this hurt my value? Thanks in advance.

If you're refinancing the lender will schedule the appraisal. It has to be done through a third party appraisal management system. If you get your own appraisal done on your own, the lender will not accept it and you'll have to do another one. I'd cancel if you can and save yourself a couple hundred bucks.
