Crawl Space Encapsulation -SF Bay Area
Hello all,
I am new to the BP forums but have been a landlord for about 10-yr (former primary residence turned rental) and need a referral to a very competent Handyman to help us completely insulate and encapsulate our crawl space under our shared foundation townhome/PUD.
The companies who specialize in this type of encapsulation work seem to charge an arm and a leg >$5K when materials are less than $900 so we just do not have it in the budget, however, we would like to get it done before the fall when the skunk mating season begins.
I have contacted a few Craig's list people who do side jobs and work for insulation companies full time but they have not actually done an encapsulation system and also want to charge what the big companies charge, one guy actually quoted me $4.5K+ with a straight face and unlike the companies I would have no warranty or recourse if problems came up after install!
I would welcome any referrals from people here who have good handymen /contractors that have installed these types of systems with rental/investor friendly pricing.
Brittany
