Does anyone have any recommendations for a good structural engineer? I have a house in Durham that has a foundation crack, and I need someone to check it our for me. I would much rather get a personal recommendation from someone local.
Hey @Luis Suarez we use Chris Flythe at Criterium-Giles Engineers or Will Price at Drye Engineering. Depending on the job, Will seems to be more flexible with my timing. Chris is solid too though. I actually have Chris coming out to my next flip in Raleigh - North Hills/Crabtree area Thursday to let me know how many walls I can remove!
@Uriah D. I scheduled an appointment with them on Friday! thanks for your help.

Hey @Luis Suarez - I'll also throw these firms into the mix with @Uriah D. 's recommendations. Both should be willing to cover Durham. They are my first two phone calls for any structural questions.
McClancy Engineering (Cary)
Engineering Tech Associates (Raleigh)
Let us know how it goes. Good luck!
I'm keeping both of them on hand for next time. I really appreciate it!
@Luis Suarez glad I could help
I would recommend Bruce Raymond. Bruce is a true structural engineering nerd and really knowledgable. He has inspected several thousand residential and commercial buildings.
I have used Chuck LeVerdiere for several projects. His company is Stonewall Engineering. He does tend be be very busy.
