Inspector for Ione, CA
I have a pre approval to purchase a home using a USDA loan. I am wondering if there are any professionals in the Ione area that can tell if a property can be funded with this method?
From what I understand there is $12k in repairs allowed within the budget to bring a home to meet their requirements. I'm single and good with tools so I can handle living rough and finishing up the home myself over time. For example this house is stripped of floor covering but has good plywood throughout, but would that really prevent it meeting minimum requirements?
Could only portions of the home be brought up to spec just to secure the loan? Ie, a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen.
