Home Equity line of credit for renovations for a new purchase

Hello everyone! I have a quick question I recently purchased a Co-op in the NYC area. I wanted to take a equity line of credit out to do a full renovation, currently the apartment needs a full gut and looks very out dated.

Should I have the appraisal done now or during the demolition process?
