Remove PMI Without Forfeiting Current Rate

Posted

Instead of refinancing to remove my PMI, could I simply get my home reappraised and use that to show PMI is no longer needed without losing my current interest rate on my mortgage? My current rate is too good to refinance with current rates.

You should be able to remove without losing your current rate.  I would recommend reaching out to your lender and find out their process.  I'm currently in this process and I'm only needing to reappraise.
