Areas to avoid and to focus in Indianapolis

Hello Everyone!

As I begin my journey into the Indianapolis real estate market, I'm curious to hear from those of you who have experience investing in the area. Specifically, I'm interested in learning which neighborhoods or areas to avoid, as well as which ones have produced positive results for other investors.

If any of you have insight or recommendations based on your personal experience, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Whether it's a particular zip code, suburb, or neighborhood to consider, I'm eager to gather as much information as possible to make informed decisions as I explore this market.

Thank you for your help!

Hi Zeriet,  Indianapolis is hard to do by zipcode because you could have $1M homes and $50K homes in the same zipcode.  It is very street by street in some areas.  There is one particular area on the near east side, that I love to drive every once in a while to see where the line of development is moving because it is definitely expanding.  It is like the others said, it depends on your strategy what areas would work best for you.  I have my favorite areas for myself but I like buy and hold.  Then I have other areas that are my favorite for my investors that like to do flips.  I did a video explaining the areas of Indy that I will send you.  It was recorded pre-covid so the price points are a little different now but the overview is still relevant.  Then I would love to get on a phone call with you to discuss areas of Indianapolis -- that is literally my favorite thing to do.
