Buying a house from Lennar with inlaw unit and rent out both units.

Hi,

I am planning to buy a house from Lennar (Ones which have in-law unit) as an investment property. Can I rent it out for two tenants? I know the utilities will be same. Renting out to a single tenant would give me a 1000$ difference to when I can rent it out to two tenants. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
