House Flipping within San Diego - Advice !

Hey there, 

Completely new to real estate but I'm looking to begin house flipping within San Diego or nearby to build some capital to eventually keep some of these flips as long term rentals. I intend to do this with a close relative who has experience in building homes, but I want to get educated on finding good deals, getting loans through private money lenders or hard money lending, just becoming well versed before beginning our first flip.

Anyone with experience on here that I can connect with ? Pick their brain a little and just point me towards the right direction, would greatly appreciate it ! Thanks !
