Buy vs Rent in Charleston, WV

Hello,

I think I'm debating between buying vs renting in Charleston, WV. We (a family of 5) should move to Charleston, WV for my wife's PA school. I'm debating between buying vs renting a property there. 

Buying Pros

1) Relatively low price (275K -300K) for a decent property in 25314 neighborhood.

2) 1700$ payment.

3) Can rent later when we move back to a different state. We cant stay there because of limited tech oppportunities. Want to move back to west coast.

Buying Cons

1) Will I be able to rent it out? will there be enough demand for rentals? How to find out that info?
2) Repairs? The homes are almost 1950-1970 builds with no new constructions.

Rental

1) It's very hard to find a rental in 25314 zip and a decent neighborhood. There are almost no 3 bd+ homes.

2) 2200$ for rent payment approx for the size we are looking for.

Please let me know your thoughts.
