I Am Recording My Purchase Conracts To Protect My Deals

Hello all: I had two situations where nutty sellers tried to sell property they had under contract with me. Now, I have a new approach. I am recording the contracts. If another investor tries to steak my deal I can threaten them with a contractual interference lawsuit.  In another instance, I just put a condo under contract at a ridiculously low price. I had the contract recorded last week because of fear some condo commando will see the price to be paid and feel they are entitled to the deal since they are on the condo board. Is this a bit paranoid? Anyone else record their contracts?
