I'm curious if any of us was ever successful on negotiating with a seller which won't move on price.

Sometimes it just takes time. Many sellers have an over-inflated idea of what their property is worth. Over time, they may realize that their house may actually be priced too high if it's not selling. So give it time and they may be willing to re-negotiate after a month or two.
