Real Estate Company vs Real Estate Consultant
Good Day BP,
As you can tell I'm in the early stages of my REIcareer, however, I am focusing tonight and this post on how I present myself to the local public. I am beginning to use networking and communication to start wholesaling (if you read my intro, you know I'm doing this to build funds for flips). I do not have a real estate license, but My wife will be getting one shortly that we can use if need be. Also, my uncle is a broker and if need be we can consult his wisdom as a broker if that matters in this situation.
My opportunity lies in how to present myself, I don't want to limit myself to being known as a wholesaler or flipper or even investor. Not that any one of these are any less or more to me it's a perception thing. What I would like to market and brand myself as is a helper and problem solver of the various struggles that people have that creates opportunities for someone like me to help.
So far I have thought of the title "Real Estate Consultant" I would specifically like to not advertise as a real estate business which is implying I'm an agent or investor as of right now. My reason is that I would think approaching the client as a type of friend they are consulting. I'm on their side, I'm not trying to make money I'm trying to help someone out of a tough situation.
Second, as a carpenter if they want to say remodel, renovate and sell it, I can partner with local agents and/or Investors and collect a fee. It's a win/win/win....or is it. When it comes down to it, I feel as aconsultant, I can network with all aspects of people involved in real estate without stepping on people's toes.
Any responses are appreciated,
John
