Investing in Newark

Hello All,

My partner and I are considering investing in multi unit homes in Newark and were wondering if its worth the risk. We are looking in areas near 90-120 hawthorne ave. We are not too familiar with the good and bad areas but we wanted to get some thoughts on general investing in Newark. Looking to purchase a brand new 10 unit building in that area. How easy or hard is it to rent out to section 8 tenants? How often is it that tenants will not pay and need to be evicted in this area.

Thanks for any input

Well with section I believe you get 80% of your rent from the government. The main issue would be who's gonna manage the property. Section 8 tenants usually be the hardest.
