Fireplaces....

I'm looking at a grade B SFR that has a masonry wood burning fireplace in the main living room. It's fully functional, has a beautiful mantel and glass doors and is really attractive, but it has me concerned. I REALLY don't like the idea of tenants using the fireplace.

I'd like to disable the fireplace, but not sure how to do it without ruining the aesthetics. Replace the glass doors with some type of a  solid panel? Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
