FHA or conventional loan??

Conventional loan or fha?? I make an average income and am looking to invest in my first property. Currently I'm in a situation where I have very low expenses and the opportunity to save. My purchase ideally would be a fixer up duplex. Is the only pro to an fha the low money down? If you have the opportunity to save is conventional better for the long run? Thoughts and opinions much appreciated, thank you!!
