Proof of funds needed to make offer

I just tried to submit my first offer and I’m trying to do the whole sale thing for now on a single family home in hopes that I can find somebody to partner with me to hold the property. Real estate agent told me that I need proof of funds. How do I make offers and get properties under contract without having proof of funds?

@Ray Minjarez no, without money or proof you can get money, most sellers will not accept your offer. They are selling their house, would you lock your house in contract with someone who doesn't have or can't prove they have any money?
