New Investor, taking the plunge

Hey Bigger Pockets community,

I'm trying to do my first deal and I'm at the point where I know I need to start working with an agent.  Long term I'd like to provide wealth with a buy and hold strategy but for now, I'd like to bootstrap those investments with a few flips.  I know that through the flipping process I'll get more comfortable with the general acquisition processes and strategies associated with buying/selling real estate.  In addition, I'll expand on the construction management experience that I already have through my professional experience. I've already done quite a bit of research on all of this myself and want to make sure I don't get caught in "analysis paralysis".
