Has anyone had a good experience with a 1031 exchange qualified intermediary in Rhode Island?
@Fan Bi , I guess not :) But don't worry, the location of your QI is not a factor that should prohibit you from completing a 1031 exchange. Since 1031 is a federal statute it has the same requirements in all 50 states and most good intermediaries have a national presence. You'll actually get your best pricing and experience with a national company rather than an attorney with no economies of scale and limited experience. The thing you need to watch out for with a large national firm is that your experience will only be as good as the sales rep assigned to you and many times these are not necessarily experienced senior consultants with longevity in the field.
I'd focus more on experience and responsiveness than on location and you'll be fine.
