My wife and I are finally in contract to sell our house so we can begin investing in real estate. The prospective buyer already did a typical home inspection which came back with a few “potential safety hazards” that I addressed.
They are getting an FHA loan and I know they need an FHA appraisal and inspection.
My question is, what could cause my house to fail the FHA inspection?
Thanks in advance!
Anything that would make the house unsafe to live in.
Electrical Issues, Mold, Lead Paint Issues
What came up on the inspection?
Lint in the drier exhaust, no fire rated door from garage to house, needed a gasket sealed well cap, railing to basement and half wall on open side.
All have been addressed so hopefully it goes smooth!
Lead paint isn't an issue on the sale of a house, the laws are about renting to tenants, not owner occupied.
