Looking for a shell, or general format and wording of how exactly to ask family or friends or just anyone, to help fund my real estate purchase. Any ideas tips or tricks are helpful, thank you!
How would you answer these questions:
- "What's in it for me?"
- "What's the risk?"
- "Have you done this before?"
- "Why this property?"
- "Will you have any skin in the game?"
You might want to reframe it in your head that they're not funding your investment, you're offering them an investment opportunity.
All of these questions can be handled. If you don't have experience, find someone experienced who will go into a deal with you or who'll look over your shoulder.
You're not going to convince everyone. Just accept that right now!
Pitch Anything is a great book to read to learn how people make these decisions and how you should approach them.
