I just assigned a property I have under contract to another investor. Do I send the assignment to the title company or the Agent? I am in New Mexico. Any help is appreciated
It needs to find its way to title.
You did get it signed by the buyer, correct?
Yes I have a signed Assignment agreement from the new Buyer. Also the contract is for an REO but they signed it with an Assignment clause. I emailed the title company and they seem confused saying, "Have you discussed this with the agent? If it's new buyer you will need to send that over to the listing agent for asset manager's review and approval.".
Should I try to educate them on how to do this?
