Please!!! Please!! All you Real Estate guru’s, really Book sellers, when teaching about RE and all it’s benefits, especially depreciation, please talk about the recapture of depreciation on the sell!!

I mean sure. 

But your tax professional should tell you too. 

Depreciation isn't optional- so you have to take it either way. But yes, they should also make you aware of the impact the recapture will have upon sale. 

I'm not sure if you've noticed this

Gurus leave out um all of the downsides of investing to sell you some junk
