Financing options for someone with contract work

I am having a hard time getting financing since I do not have constant income to show the bank. 

I am a new pharmacist and having a hard time finding a full time job so in the meantime I do contract work.

Besides waiting until I get a full time job? What other options do I have for financing

    If you don't have the income over the past 2 years on your tax return I'd look at whether you are really ready to invest, could you pay all the bills if you had an extended vacancy?

    Thanks for responding Aaron. I am looking to buy a duplex and do house hacking. The goal is to live for cheap or free while getting to know the real estate business. I am going to have to pay for a place to live, so if I have vacancy, I would be able to cover my rent myself
