How to refinance property when owned with partner?

Hello, my friend (cc'd above) and I are about to refinance our first single family property.

Context
- Purchased home and rehabbed with our own cash 50/50- Total investment is approx $65K
- Title is in both of our names
- Now that we're refinancing, we inquired to see if we can just refi in one person's name so that we can each maximize the number of loans we can do. Bank doesn't want to do that since title is in both our names.

Question
- What would you advise? How would you handle?
