My property was sold at tax sale in VA without notice getting to

House and land bought as an investment. Paid in full. No one including myself lived there 7 plus years. Just found out my 100k property was sold for tax lien. Treasurer office claims notices to sell for tax lien were sent to the property addresd. Not my HOME address which is on file!  Court appointed a lawyer to "fund owners" and signed a sworn statement that he was unsuccessful.  As well was a ad litem attorney appointed to find us or heirs. Also claims couldn't locate us.  So the property gets sold for a third if its value!  A 30 second google search reveals myself and wifes address etc. And the county sends tsx bills to my HOME address. Yet they sent notices ONLY to the tax property address!  How can this even be remotely legal?  We never knew it was neing sold. Never any demand letter or anything about past due taxes. Any Virginia attorney or paralegal on this site?  Any info greatly appreciated. We are devistated. That taxes due were less than 4k! Please help!

Did you think it was funny after 2, 3 or even 4 years that you had bought the only property in the country without any property tax? I can’t believe they waited 7 years.
