I’m hoping to purchase my first piece of land shortly. I have found a lot that I like. It’s a bit steep (in a mountain town) and just want to make sure I’m asking the right questions before making an offer. My offer will be subject to due diligence which I believe a lawyer generally assists with, correct? Right now I have been communicating with the listing agent, should I engage an agent of my own? Thanks!!
If you are not knowledgeable of site work, you may want to have an experienced site work contractor look over the property with your plans in mind. The cost of site work could make the lot worthless or if nothing else it may help you estimate the cost of preparing the lot for building.
