How accurate are the rumors of the market crash?
Hello guys! This is my first thread on this forum, I just want to enquire with knowledgeable individuals in regards to the rumors of an upcoming market crash. I am extremely new to the RE world so I apologize if this is a dumb or ignorant question. I’ve put all my focus on building by solar energy business, and now that I have capital to buy my first investment property I am left with uncertainty, should I wait until the market “crashes” to buy cheap? I’ve heard from different investors I know that the next crash is around the corner, constantly using the example of the market crashing every certain amount of years (80’s/08/ now???)
I’d really appreciate some input on if I should hold off to buy or make moves in RE this 2020!!
Thanks in advance.

Don’t time the market, invest as much and as often as you can. Remember that investing is for the long term. It is possible that you lose money (unrealized) the day after you buy but you buy because you believe that in 10 years it will be worth a lot more and pays you income via dividends or cash flow from a rental. The best way to prepare for a downturn is to have plenty of reserves and several exit plans.
