Foundation recently repaired ?

Posted

Hey folks, I'm in the inspection period for a property and received the following feedback from the inspector. This was not "red flagged" but feedback to note:

"This foundation appears to have recent/past repairs. Consultation with the seller and/or seller's disclosure prior to property purchase is advised."

Foundation is concrete slab. I don't have photos but I can probably call to get more details.

Have you run into this before and is it a red flag ? What would be good details to find out ?

Note that seller's disclosures don't have much information, mostly in the Don't Know/Unknown category

@John Collins @Kenneth Garrett @Gene Blakeney

Thanks all for the advice. I'm working on getting the seller's disclosures and see who did the work, and what warranty they may carry.

@Lucia Rushton This is on the MLS. Yes I'm working with my agent to get this info.
