Home inspection question.

I have lived in the home for past year and a half with no issues. Is it still worth paying for a complete home inspection? I am purchasing the home from my grandmother. The home was build and lived in by my great-grandparents. Close date is scheduled for April 13th, 2020. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Dom, for the money (typically $250 to $300) you can't go wrong, they should tell you the age of the roof, the age of the air conditioning unit and any electrical or plumbing issue.  Typically, your insurance company is going to require a 4 point (foundation, electrical, roof and plumbing) inspection anyways, so they can do that as well for an additional $50 or so while they are there.  This will give you an idea of budgeting for capital improvements (roof, ac, ect).  They are not required, but I'd rather be safe and have a second set of eyes on the property..
