Title and Escrow Companies

I am closing on a property in NC and the Title company lost one of our documents that needs to be notarized. They are requesting we resign and notarize the document. This is just dragging out the purchase for us because we are working from home. Is it ok for me to push back and ask them to accept the copy we have of the orginals?
