Getting foot in the door with potential new team members

John Carmody
Posted

I intend to start regularly visiting the city I want to invest in after corona goes away. I understand I need to build a local team before I can start buying, but I really have no idea how to do this professionally. I'm just a 24 year old kid with no company backing me,so I really have no idea how to establish an initial professional relationship with real estate agents, contractors, etc and be taken seriously. Just calling someone and saying I am looking to buy real estate in the area and I would like to schedule a business meeting over lunch just seems clunky.

@John Carmody is there a reason you are starting your investment business in a city far away from where you live?  It would be helpful to share the location where you live, where you would like to invest, and the distance you would have to travel to get there.
