Planning to purchase a vacation home overseas...

I have an employee who owns some land in the Philippines. He offered me a 10-year lease so I can build a vacation home/rental. It's a beautiful farmland in a rural area.

I am inclined to accept. But does anybody here have any experience with transactions similar to this? Can you please share your experiences . Especially the bad ones. Thanks BP!

Kevin, if no one answers here just do a Facebook group search for things like Americans Buying Property in Philippines or google the same.  There’s tons of stuff out there.
