Where to find foreclosure auction lists.

I'm very new and just starting the learning process so this is a very newbie question, but I'll ask. Where exactly should I be able to go to see the list of upcoming auctions at my local courthouse? You would think it would be an easy to find public record, but I can't find anywhere that simply lists them except for those sites that charge money to tell you about foreclosures.
