Hi - we are considering purchasing a TIC which is one of two units in a duplex. It's a brand new construction in LA. We want to understand the process of converting a TIC to a condo in the future to unlock more value for the property. Is anyone familiar with how to do this? We've spoken to a few real estate lawyers in LA that seem unfamiliar with this process. We also reached out to Andy Sirkin (original TIC creator) and he's not aware of a path forward in LA.
