Working with a part-time realtor - good or bad idea?

Hey BP community,
Is it a bad idea to work with a part-time realtor? What has your experience been like with a part-time realtor(s)?
I started talking with a friend who is a realtor in an area I'm going to invest in. I'm out of state investor.

If any realtors could chime in and put forth their opinions on what part-timers vs full timers are like that would be greatly appreciated.
In your experience are there great part-time realtors?
