Crowd funding an option? Private money?
I have just recently heard of crowd funding. It actually kind of got me to this site. I have money I need to raise and would be interested to know if there is a limit to crowd funding. I have 700k left and don't know if the only option is to get private money or would crowd funding be an option?

There are no limitations to the amount you're seeking to raise unless you're pursuing an intrastate offering, but typically successful raises are $2MM or less. As the investor base expands, the amount raised should increase.
Whether or not crowdfunding is appropriate depends on many things:
- What state is the project in? What state do you live in?
- Do you intend to have investors in many states?
- Do you have a track record to sell to help to raise money?
- How much, in total, are you looking to raise
- What type of project are you trying to raise money for?
- How long will the investor money be used?
- What will the capital stack look like?
- Do you have a large network to be able to help raise the money on your own?
I could go on and on and on. There simply isn't enough information in your post to be able to help much.
There are many good threads on BP about crowdfunding. I would suggest starting with reading those.

@Walter Granquist Like others said, there are many factors that play into this. I would recommend talking to @AdaPia DErrico to ask her questions about crowdfunding.
