Help With Commercial Purchase!! Attorney!?

Hello BP,

I am purchasing a couple residential units with one commercial unit below. I was wondering if you NEED an attorney to create the contract. I am thinking the cost would be at least $1k for an attorney to do this. If I can have a realtor draft the contract I can probably save over 1k. Let me know if anyone knows anything about this. Thanks!

You can certainly use a standard real estate contract for the deal. I may encourage you to have an attorney to review the commercial lease for the commercial tenant.

However, if you are looking to get creative with your purchase, such as doing an entity purchase or structured sale you may want to have an attorney draft that language
