Short Sale Counter Wait Time

Shane Km
Posted

Trying to buy a short sale house. The seller has an attorney taking care of that process. After about 2 months the bank came back with a counter offer. We agreed to their counter + 5K more. Two days later they sent us 'arm-length' affidavit and the sellers to sign.

Does this mean the lender is about to accepted our offer? How much longer will it take at this point? (on average, I Know each case is different)

Thanks

Yes that is normal. They want everything dated within the last 30 days usually. If this was all after counter acceptance, you're almost there.
