NC recommendations for a vacant house insurance policy issuers

I am in NC. My insurance company is not willing to insure a house i am re habbing while it is vacant. Has anyone run into this?  I tried farmers but their premium is too high.

Look into National Real Estate Insurance Group (NREIG).  They specialize in insuring rehabs all across the country.  You can apply online and have an answer within 24 hrs - they are very responsive and have great customer service.  Best part is you pay monthly with no earned month minimums.
