In case the ex owner of a tax deed property sucessfully redem the property, will I get my money back for investment to improve the property (repairs, addition ect) from the ex owner?

@Sandy Nguyen  I absolutely positively would not take the advice given by others on this site as the rule    of law.. if there is significant money involved you need to talk to a local attorney who knows case law.

@Jeff B.  amazing how people would accept on line advice for something htis complex

I have funded probably over 100 of these in Birmingham over the years. I know in foreclosure redemption rights they must pay the full amount of the mortgage this keeps all of those from redeeming.. but if someone lost it for a total of 3k and its worth 100k I think there is a high probability of a redemption in this scenario. and how are you going to prove what was done or not done.. you would be in a big mess trying to prove your improvement costs etc..  the post above about the paint is ridiculous how is anyone to know if you really painted it or not .. and who is going to come up with a value difference.

spend 200 to 400 bucks and get a professional legal opinion  as J Beard stated
