HI GUYS QUICK QUETION KIND OF NEW AT THIS.

I have a property where the comps are 135,000 the owner owes 199,000 on the property. My mentor said I can give him the deal he will have a short sale done on it and give me a refferal fee. I feel like I am being shorthanded because I'm the one who found the property and paid for the list. Should I just be patient and learn or is there a certain amount I should ask for to do so?

@Keith Turley Short sales can be tough. The sellers bank will be in control and they don't even have to agree to allow it. Even if they do, it will be listed in the MLS for the maximum exposure and bids, and there's no guarantee your mentor will get it, and especially get it at a great deal.

If he's going to give you a referral fee if it all goes through, take it and move onto the next deal, IMO.
